You can increase your money by assigning taxes from your government center, the main building in your growing town.

In this game you can also get heroes to help lead your armies. By building a tavern and hero lounge you can start to use heroes in the game. The higher your tavern level the higher level hero you can recruit. The heroes that are available will change randomly so you need to keep checking the tavern for better heroes. You need a hero assigned to an army before you can begin fighting in the game, only scouting works without a hero.

You should also build a college as soon as possible since this will allow you to research technology vital to the growth of your town and for the training of more advanced troops. You should upgrade this building when you have the resources available as soon as possible to get access to more advanced training options. Some upgrades will require other building levels before being unlocked for you.

You can join alliances in the game by building an embassy as well as trade resources via the marketplace. You have a seven day grace period before being open to attacks so you should work very hard on your town during this time. Try to build walls as well as a large army for protection and get some heroes established as soon as possible. Quests are available and will offer you rewards for completing them.
